Postdoctoral Position
Queen=92s University, Kingston ON Canada
A postdoctoral position is available March 1st 2002 in my laboratory in the
Department of Biology at Queen=92s University, Kingston ON Canada. The
position has guaranteed funding for at least 2 years, but applicants are
encouraged to apply for postdoctoral fellowships. Our research focuses on an
analysis of development, using the nematode C. elegans as an experimental
organism (for more information see http://biology.queensu.ca/~chinsang/).
The main goal of the lab is to use genetic, molecular biology and
biochemical approaches to understand the role of ephrin/Eph Receptor
Tyrosine Kinases signaling in C. elegans development. The specific research
project will depend on skills, experience and research interests of the
candidate hired. Previous experience with C. elegans genetics is an asset
but not required. The lab is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated
individual with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. The
ability to work independently and troubleshoot are essential. Queen=92s
University and the city of Kingston will provide a very stimulating academic
and cultural environment. Queen's University has an Employment Equity
program and all qualified women and men, including visible minorities,
aboriginal people, persons with disabilities, gay men and lesbians are
encouraged to apply. Interested persons should send a brief letter stating
their research interests, CV and the names of three references by e-mail to:
