Postdoctoral fellowship positions are available to study the molecular
mechanisms governing centrosome duplication and function with particular
emphasis on how these processes are integrated with early developmental
events. Studies will employ as a model system the nematode C. elegans.
Projects include investigation of the role of the ZYG-1 kinase in centrosome
duplication, the molecular basis of microtubule nucleation by the
centrosome, and the identification of novel factors involved in centrosome
duplication and function. Studies will combine methodologies in genetics
and molecular and cellular biology with a variety of imaging techniques.
Successful applicants will benefit from a creative and supportive
environment. A strong background in molecular biology, cell biology or
genetics is desired. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and should
have less than five years of postdoctoral experience. Please send
