The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure
track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level
effective January 1, 2003. Applicants should have a strong background
in the use of genetic approaches to study model eukaryotic organisms.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least two years post-doctoral
experience and a record of quality research. The successful candidate
will be expected to establish an active, externally funded research
program and to participate in the teaching of genetics at the
introductory and advanced undergraduate levels. In addition to
resources provided by the University, the successful applicant will be
eligible to apply for an establishment grant from the Alberta Heritage
Foundation for Medical Research. Potential applicants are invited to
