Dear C.e. community,
I would like to know if anyone has tried to use a nitrogen bomb (also
known as a "cell disruption bomb") to lyse C. elegans. If anyone has
tried to use one, either with positive or negative results, I would
appreciate hearing about it. We would like to disrupt C. elegans for
biochemical analysis (such as co-IP) and have been using sonication
and a french press, but would like to use a method that disrupts
larvae, adults, and eggs quicker. If anyone has a good method for
disruption, we would appreciate hearing about that as well. If I get
any useful insights, I will post the results on the C.e. bionet.
thanks,
Edward Kipreos
