Come to the Genetics Congress after the Worm Meeting
Melbourne, Australia is just one flight from Los Angeles. The
International C. elegans Meeting in Los Angeles (June 29 - July 3) is
immediately followed by the International Congress of Genetics to be
held in Melbourne, Australia. Held just once every five years, the
2003 Congress is being organized around the theme Genomes - The
Linkage to Life. 280 elite, invited international speakers (including
8 Nobel Laureates) will contribute to symposia covering all aspects
of genetics - genomics, cell and developmental genetics,
neurogenetics and evolutionary genetics. Prominent worm biologists
including Sydney Brenner, Bob Horvitz, John Sulston and David
Haussler are among the speakers. The Congress will also celebrate
the fiftieth anniversary of the discovery of the structure of DNA.
James D. Watson will be joined by a host of luminaries who made
seminal contributions to our understanding of basic molecular
processes. For more details on the Congress see
www.geneticscongress2003.com The Abstract deadline is March 5 and
the 'early bird registration' period ends on March 6. Why not combine
to Congress with the fabulous 2003 Worm Meeting?
