worms on 24-well plates

We are trying to grow worms in 24-well NGM plates for large-scale
screening. We have had problems with the middle wells staying too
wet, while the outer wells are in good shape. If we dry the plates
in the hood until the middle wells are dry enough, then the outer
wells get too dry and the agar cracks. Any suggestions for worm
culture in this format would be most appreciated!!

Thanks,
Barth
