An opening has become available for a Research Scientist/Senior
Research Scientist in the C. elegans Genetics Core at the MGH Center
for Cancer Research
You will utilize C. elegans genetics to discover and investigate
novel genes involved in pathways related to cancer biology, cell
signaling and development. The ideal candidate will have broad
interests in biology, as well as experience with a variety of
techniques, preferably in molecular biology and genetics. As a member
of the Genetics Core at the MGH Center for Cancer Research you will
be part of a widely recognized group exploring the use of model
organisms (C. elegans, Drosophila, etc) as genetic tools to elucidate
pathways of importance in human cancer and development. This position
will encourage intellectual growth and participation in an
interactive environment. Requires Ph.D., M.S. or equivalent with
molecular biology and/or genetics experience required. Preference
will be given to applicants with C. elegans experience. Good
communication skills and a desire to work in a group atmosphere are
also required.
