POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Pathogenesis of degenerative diseases
A 2-year postdoctoral position is available starting early 2004 to
work in the Laboratory of Genomic Biology in Paris on the
pathogenesis of human degenerative diseases by using a combination of
C. elegans genetics and validation assays in mammalian model systems
and humans. The candidate will be offered to work on cellular
mechanisms that underlie the pathogenesis of familial forms of
degenerative diseases among which Huntington's disease and related
illnesses. A focus is on the regulation of transcription. There is no
restriction on the citizenship of applicants however French
applicants are not eligible for this position. A strong background in
molecular biology and cellular neurobiology is desirable. Previous
experience in C. elegans genetics is required. Interested applicants
