POST-(and PRE-) DOCTORAL POSITION(S) will be available SPRING 2004

in a newly established lab at the UNIVERSITY OF FRANKFURT, GERMANY.

The lab will focus on the identification and characterization of novel
proteins involved in neurotransmission at post- and presynaptic sites.
Proteins associated with known factors involved in these processes will
be identifed by biochemical purification and mass spectrometry. This
approach has been successfully applied to novel proteins associated with
nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. These proteins will now be
functionally analyzed by molecular, genetic and cell-biological methods
as well as by electrophysiology.

We are particularly interested in an electrophysiologist, thus
experience in (C. elegans) electrophysiology is highly appreciated.
Previous experience in C. elegans and in neurobiology would also be
helpful, but are not a must.
