Hi,
Just to remind people that every 10th release of WormBase (corresponding
to ~20 week intervals) is now permanently archived on the WormBase web
and
FTP sites. We started this process with release WS100 of WormBase, so
the
following websites are available in addition to the current website (at
www.wormbase.org):
http://ws100.wormbase.orghttp://ws110.wormbase.orghttp://ws120.wormbase.org
We would encourage researchers to work with these 'frozen' releases when
using data in any publications. This then allows other researchers to
be
able to view exactly the same data as you used (this is important when
considering that the genome sequence and gene predictions in WormBase
continue to change).
Feel free to ask any questions about this policy of data freezes.
Regards,
Keith
