[Celegans] Platinum wire for worm picks - need some?

This is Andy Papp, semi-ex-worm-person at Tritech Research. A few labs,
knowing that Tritech is all about helping the worm community, got in
touch with me and mentioned that Fisher and some others no longer carry
the platinum wire for worm picks, and asked if I could get some and
supply it.

I can, and will, if there is sufficient interest.

The best wire I found is 99.95% Pt and has a diameter of .010" (.254 mm).
Is that similar to what you have been using?

This is just sort of a "straw poll", but, please let me know if your lab
would like to get some now or in the near future. I am thinking about
$100 for 2-3 feet, which, for most labs is a few years' supply. I'd
have to order about 100 feet of the wire, so I want to make sure there
is sufficient interest. Also, please let me know if you are already
getting it from somewhere else (that still carries it) and if the price
seems out of line. I believe Fisher was charging about $90/ft.

Please reply to me directly at "ap @ tritechresearch . com" (without the
spaces) or call w/ any questions. I will post a summary.
