Hi worm people, I have a question about the MTA for obtaining knockout
strains from the Mitani lab. My on-campus Research Administration office has
issues with item 15 on the MTA because it places any dispute arising under
the jurisdiction of Tokyo District Court and says the agreement shall be
governed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Although I can't think of any
potential disputes that might come up, perhaps it is because I don't
understand the administrative point of view. Has anyone else had similar
problems? Is there a solution? Have others in the US received strains from
the Mitani lab without fuss?
The same Research Administration office had no problems with obtaining RNAi
feeding strains from the MRC.
