Deep Sea Vent Chemistry

I am writing a high school (honor/AP/college prep as well as mainstream)
level html curriculum LESSON PLAN on deep sea vent geology, chemistry, and
biology. I will be including food web/chain data and using wireman to make a
fly-by from surface to vent.

I am looking for:
1. Geolocations of Eastern Pacific Vents
2. A really good picture of a Juan de Fuca Vent (the one I have looks like a
Rodan Bronze done by Mickey Mouse)
3. Source OR scientific names for vent species - (the bacteria and amphipods
are the ones I need a lead on)
4. A simple yet accurate and user friendly description of the
chemiosynthetic process that works the system -
5. Your favorite source for vent data: I have - PMEL, WHOI, SCRIPPS, and
OCEANUS.

I'm posting this to the deepsea listserv also. Thanks. Please send reply to
myself and to dbently at sdcc14.ucsd.edu. Diane is also a member of the
supercomputer teacher group I belong to at UCSD that is sponsoring our efforts.
