Dear Colleagues @ Deepsea,
I am in charge of preparing a chapter on deep-sea mollusks for Conch-Net,
web site of Conchologists of America (COA), a non-profit organization
devoted to the interests of serious shell collectors. Conch-Net is mainly an
educational endeavor, and include topics such as general biology of
mollusks, marine mollusks, land and freshwater mollusks, new species
recently named, etc. I am opened to suggestions on what to include in the
deep-sea chapter. At the moment I badly need pictures of shells and/or live
mollusks from bathyal, abyssal, hadal, and HT vent environments. I am doing
the work pro bono, and the only compensation I can offer for the use of
pictures is to give the lender proper credit in the figure legends, and
mention in the text the particular research project from which the
picture(s) originated. If you think you can help, please contact me at the
addresses below. In principle we can use pictures in any format (slide,
print, electronic files, etc.). The URL for Conch-Net is:

Thanks for your time and for any help you can provide.
