A two-year postdoctoral research associate position is available in the
Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University, funded
by a collaborative grant from the Coastal Marine Institute to Drs. John
Fleeger and David Foltz. The project involves using DNA markers in
harpacticoid copepods to study the genetic effects of exposure to
contaminated sediments. Desired qualifications include experience with
DNA extraction, amplification and sequencing, and familiarity with
computer programs for genetic and phylogenetic analysis. Application
deadline is November 7, 1997, or until a candidate is selected. Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
