SHOALS OF CAPRICORN PROGRAMME
The Shoals of Capricorn Programme is a major marine science research and
education programme initiated by the Royal Geographical Society (with
The
Institute of British Geographers) in association with the Royal Society
and the governments of Seychelles and Mauritius. This Programme will
investigate the massive submerged Mascarene Plateau, lying between
Seychelles and Mauritius, forming part of the western Indian Ocean Large
Marine Ecosystem.
The programme will serve as a platform supplying facilities and local
