Hi.
Going back to college to study Bio/ Marine Bio. Have degree in Geology now,
but had to stop before Biology was completed also years ago ( 4 ). I think
that I would like to work in a field-research based dept. near the coastal
mountains of the West coast in the US with opportunities to work in Costa
Rica or Venezuela. Of course, I would be willing to work in the Rockies, or
anywhere in the US except Kansas ( no offense meant - but I need the Mtns
and coast, spoiled in NC, I guess ). Does anyone have any information,
comments, suggestions, whatever that they would like to share with me ?? I
will be starting school again at UNC-Wilmington in the Fall of 1999 to
finish my Masters and move on from there. Is a "conservation Biologist" a
"paying" field that will feed me ?? Not interested in huge sums of money,
but enough to feed my family and my curiosity about life and the convergent
zones of Geo/Bio, as I suspect that a lot of my research would be usually
self-funded.
Any info., supporting or non would be appreciated.
thank you, Chris D.
