Hi!

I am in need of artificial sediment for an experiment I am to conduct
later this spring. I have understood that you can use glass beads of
appropriate size. Is there other material as well one can use? I do not
want to use defaunated natural sediment as I want to get rid of the
organisms and their forms to simplify sample processing. I am interested
in sizefractions from silt and down, that is, approx. less than 63
micrometers. Any information as to what to use or where the artificial
sediment can be obtained is highly appreciated.

Regards
