We announce a three-year paid PhD fellowship for a marine biologist
in the project "The geobiology of Arctic hydrothermal springs",
to study benthic communities outside the Trollosen littoral
hydrothermal spring in Spitsbergen, Arctic Norway. The large
thermal and chemical perturbations at this site may have given
rise to unique ecological conditions. Taxonomic compositions
will be mapped and compared with water chemistry and other
parameters in an integrated study.
