POSITION SUMMARY
This Senior Clinical Research Associate will be responsible for the
administration and monitoring of clinical trials for two developmental
therapeutics; an antineoplastic and an HIV therapeutic.  The successful
candidate will have both protocol development experience and medical
report experience as well as management, administrative and supervisory
experience.  Specific responsibilities include the management and
supervision of more junior CRAs, protocol development, institutional and
physician relations, clinical trial monitoring and the coordination of
various in-house activities such a medical report writing.  The ideal
candidate will have both computer literacy, public relations and public
presentation skills and project management skills.  A minimum of 3 years
of directly relevant experience is required, however, five years would be
preferred.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

=B7 Administration of clinical trials for two developmental therapeutic
agents.
=B7 Clinical trial protocol development.
=B7 Medical report writing.
=B7 Institutional and physician relations.
=B7 Planning of the activities of and supervision of two more junior CRAs.
=B7 Coordination of in-house activities such as report writing and
presentations.
=B7 Interaction with and presentations to corporate partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

=B7 Bachelor's of Arts or Science Degree (or higher) from an accredited,
four-year university.  Advanced degree is preferred (M.S., Ph.D. or M.D.).
=B7 Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant work experience in monitoring
and administering clinical trials.  Five years  of experience is
preferred.
=B7 Excellent interpersonal skills, especially as they relate to the
interaction with clinicians, facility administrators, investors and
corporate partners.
=B7 Computer literacy with PC systems using Microsoft Windows 3.1 and
Windows `95 operating systems and extensive experience with PC based
report writing.
=B7 Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

=B7 Computer literacy with spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Access).
=B7 Proficiency with both written and spoken Spanish.
=B7 Experience in an identical position with a major, domestic
pharmaceutical company.
