Does anybody know the half life time of free ribosomal DNA in a
neutral solution?
My idea is to detect in a quantitive way the amount of viable
moulds on basis of RNA. The idea is that RNA has a short half life
and therefor a RT PCR of freshly isolated total RNA could tell
something about the number of viable cells. However I am not sure
about the stability of ribosomal RNA.
