Dear colleagues,
I want to check plasmid inserts in a Southern HYB for clones with
repetitive sequences. So I am planning to hybridyze with maize
genomic DNA to identify these rDNA containing clones. I am not
sure about the amount of labelled probe to use for this HYB. For a
normal Southern with a certain fragment as probe i use 50-100ng
(P32-labelling). But is this enough to cover all species of rDNA
within genomic DNA?
Thanks for your answers in advance,

Marcel
