A few academic questions.
1. What is environmental physiology?
2. How does it differ from physiological ecology?
3. Is there any difference the the terms ecophysiology and physiological
ecology?
I would be interested in receiving some feedback on these questions.
The serious reason I ask is that I am writing an review paper at
present on an aspect of environmental physiology/ ecophysiology
/physiological ecology, and I have managed to get myself successfully
sidetracked on these question and definitions.
Just to leave you with a thought, Ecology is derived from the Greek
Oikos, meaning house or home. Does Ecophysiology then literally mean
the physiology of a house or home? By the same argument watch out
for ecotourists........
