I have a 1993 brochure from
Quatum devices, Inc. Barneveld, WI 53507 Fax (608) 924-3007.
it describes a Qbeam light source which is an array of hybrid
GaA1As LEDs. It allows variable control from 1 to 2000 umol m-2 s-1
paek wavelength 660nm (but they have a range of high output LEDs with
peak outputs from 630-840nm) Dimensions 5" x 3.75" x 4.25".
My brochure is almost 4 years old so I imagine the company has
either improved its range or gone bust by now.
