Department of Botany, College of Natural Sciences, University of Hawai`i
at Manoa. Full time, beginning approximately August 1, 1999 for one
year, pending availability of funds.
Duties: Overseeing both laboratory and field studies in Hawai`i to study
embolism repair of woody plants, hydraulic architecture of native and
invasive plants, and energy balance of tropical alpine plants. Other
research projects according to candidate interests and experience will
be considered.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in plant physiology or ecophysiology, or
related discipline. Some experience in water relation studies,
photosynthetic gas-exchange and data-logging equipment is a plus.
Annual Stipend: $30,000.
