Greetings GenBank Users,
Due to a software error, the EST portion of the ASN.1 version of
the GenBank Cumulative Update was excluded on December 7, 2000.
The affected file was:
ftp://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ncbi-asn1/daily/gbcu.aso.gz
Its size decreased from 796,704,582 bytes to 642,778,385 bytes
as a result of this problem. The cognate GenBank update flatfile
(gbcu.flat.gz) was unaffected.
A repaired gbcu.aso.gz file that includes the missing EST sequences
was installed on NCBI's ftp site at 11:45am EST on December 8, 2000.
Our apologies for any inconvenience that this error might have
caused.
