I have tried to find anything about how/if sialic acid containing
oligosacharides on glycoproteins and glycolipids are degraded in
the intestine, without finding anything. Does anybody know if the
existence of sialidases, or other hydrolases that can hydrolyse
sialic acid from these carbohydrates in the gastro/intestinal system ?
Thank you !
