What would be the proper way to refer to an enzyme activity when the
following conventions hold:
MFG1 (italics) = gene (my favorite gene)
Mfg1p = protein from that gene
Especially if enzyme activity can be attributed to Mfg1p and perhaps other
factors, I would argue for
Mfg1 activity. i.e. leave off the p
