The uncertainty is mine, and it stems from ignorance about the precise
function of this user-group. I hope this is the right place to put this
notice. The fame? Who knows?
I work for Macmillan which publishes, among other trivial journals, Nature,
Bio/Technology, and Nature Genetics. My role is as Senior Editor of
Bio/Technology with primary responsiblity for the Feature section of the
journal.
Right now we are seeking good quality images related to biological
nanotechnology to serve as cover artwork for a forthcoming issue. Are there
any biological equivalents of IBM's atomic logo or Xerox's "Peace 91". What
stunts have nanotechnologists pulled to get their message across to
biologists? Can we plait DNA round on itself to gett a double helix of the
double helix? Can we write with protein molecules? Can we play molecular
tic-tac-toe with photoinducible proteins in arrays?
What are the most spectacular images of biological nanotechnology that you
know of? Who has them? And can we use them?
