multiple aleurone layer trait

Hello,

We have received a significant number of requests for a maize stock with a
'multiple aleurone layer' trait. According to MaizeDB this trait was found
in the Coroico race which is listed in GRIN as 'NSL 84604'.

According to Miranda (1980), in a Maize Newsletter article, a similar trait
was found in ACRE 134, from the Brazilian Germplasm Bank.

The description of the trait given in MaizeDB is as follows:

A recessive factor interacts with two complementary dominants, giving
multiple cell layers in the aleurone tissue (Miranda, 1980). Wolf et al.
(1972) and Nelson and Chang (1974) refer to a single dominant factor giving
rise to the phenotype.

Do any of you have stocks with this trait? We would prefer a North
American background, but if necessary would be willing to try to extract
the trait from Coroico, ACRE 134 or any other accessions that exhibit it.

Thanks for your help.
