Marker-Assisted Breeding - Maize.

The position consists of designing experiments, analyzing phenotypic and
genotypic data (including QTL mapping), establishing marker-based selection
strategies and conducting marker-assisted selection, in tight relation with
maize breeders, marker laboratory scientists and greenhouse manager.
Candidates should have an MS or PhD in plant breeding, genetics, or a
related field, a working knowledge of statistics, and strong communication
and group work skills. Previous experience with the use of molecular
markers in breeding and a basic knowledge of SAS are desirable. Fluency in
English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. The position is
located at Novartis Seeds Field Crops - European headquarters near
Toulouse, France. The initial appointment is for one year, starting as soon
