RE still seeking the name of the dog.
Janet Day Jackson, j-day at uiuc.edu, of the Stock Center has sent us FAX,
a 1982 Cornell Alum. article, by Fred Wilcox,
with the dog's name listed as Pudgie.
L. B. Kass, busy these days gathering documentation about McClintock's
life for a definitive biography, reports that the name is definitely
not Skippy or Pudgie. But, alas, lacks documentation and the name.
In any case, a fish person HAS FOUND, unaided by our hints, the name
that was buried in MaizeDB, at the nomenclaturally correct site,
although not using any of our hints, just looking for data (go
figure). He has been awarded a hank of clothesline, toward future
fishing for larger games and toward keeping the dog running. The dog
may be seen hob-knobbing at his site.
