A tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIP is available beginning August, 1999,
for a EUKARYOTIC MOLECULAR GENETICIST with research interests in the
molecular genetics of a eukaryotic model organism. Specialization may
include gene regulation, development, genomics or other related areas.
Teaching responsibilities include an introductory genetics course for
biology majors and an advanced graduate course in molecular genetics.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop an independent,
high-quality, and extramurally funded research program and to contribute to
the training of Ph.D. and Master's students. Postdoctoral experience
preferred. It is expected that the new hire will participate in the
proposed Biotechnology Master's Sequence. Additional information can be
