Research Associate II, Plant Breeding Department, Cornell University:
Work closely with maize breeding & molecular genetics programs to ensure
success of interspecific molecular breeding research program. Responsible
for QTL analysis & near isogenic line development targeting specialty grain
quality traits in maize & will undertake comparative genome analysis to
determine whether genes underlying QTLs are homologous in rice & maize.
Help ensure timeliness & quality of reports & of technical aspects of this
multi-pronged project. Must be familiar with both maize breeding &
molecular genetics & be willing to maintain active correspondence with our
collaborators & to assist with grant preparation.
