To users of MaizeDB:
This is a request for a bit of help, for the benefit of yourself and
colleagues.

Based upon NSF-guided workshop discussions among Plant Genome awardees during
the past weekend, efficiency and usefulness of information access is a
significant concern among plant scientists. To help enhance MaizeDB, please
take just a few minutes and do the following simple exercise and feedback:

"Cut and try" - choose any one target or interest or idea that you want to
explore, and start to explore it, beginning from http://www.agron.missouri.edu/

>> Please jot down the following as you go, and send them to us in a message
addressed via a "note" or "comment" button or in an email to db_request
(db_request at teosinte.missouri.edu)

   The target you chose.
   The path you follow.
Uncertainties, obstacles, or confusions you experience in seeking
        information.
   Expectations fulfilled or unfulfilled.
Obstacles or confusions in the results.
   Inaccuracies in the results.
Idea or suggestion for a better "service" toward this target.

Thanks for helping.

P.S. Before long you may expect us to ask a bigger favor, which we are always
seeking, namely to suggest features that would be helpful additions. Between
ongoing ARS support and NSF support, we will be building MaizeDB’s content and
features. Watch for a "structured" request.
