In the 3rd edition of Corn and Corn Improvement, Shaw states that
grain size is loosely restricted (Page 631).
My question is what are some "practical or typical" maximum values
for yellow dent corn hybrids that are currently being sold???? I'm
asking primarily about feed grains and varieties typically grown in
US Corn Belt.
We typically are seeing around 31-32 gm/100 seeds after correction to
15.5 % wet basis under near ideal conditions.
Is there large differences between the popular hybrids???
