Hello,
I am trying to extract DNA from Birch, Rhododendron, and Elm. I have been
having trouble getting good results. I have tried numerous methods but
cannot get significant amounts of good DNA. Does anyone have any good
insights? I think that the problems may be due to polysaccharide and
polyphenolic precipitation but am unsure.
If anyone has a good protocol for woody plant DNA extraction, or any
suggestions, please email me directly (tsripo at uidaho.edu).
