USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) announces a position for a
Research Molecular Geneticist, GS-440-12/13 for the Red River Valley
Agricultural Research Center at Fargo, North Dakota. The successful
applicant's research will involve studies on the genetic and molecular
basis for traits inherent to economically important perennial and annual
weeds. The objectives are: (1) to develop a body of knowledge concerning
fundamental mechanisms governing weedy characteristics in plants, (2) to
determine and characterize genetic and environmental factors and
molecular mechanisms controlling weedy characteristics, and (3) to
develop novel approaches and techniques to devise new weed control

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent and be U.S. citizens. Two
years postdoctoral experience equivalent to the next lower grade. The
salary is level commensurate with qualifications and experience (GS-12:
$47,891 to $62,260, GS-13: $56,951 to $74,035 per year). For vacancy
