We are trying to dissect several gene clustered gene families in
maize. Some give spontaneous deletions by unequal crossing over,
some don't.
My question is, does anyone knwo of someone who has created
stocks of small deletions in B73 (preferably) or any other maize
line, possibly by fast neutrons? These could be really valuable for
dissecting these gene families! If you know of anyone working in
this are please let me know so I can see if they would like to
collaborate on this type of project.
Alternatively, does anyone know of a good source (place) for fast
neutron mutagenesis?
