Good day,

The Gene Index Group at The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR)
is pleased to announce the release of ZmGI (Maize). ZmGI represents
an estimate of transcribed Maize sequences based on publicly available
EST data. TIGR also maintains Gene Indices for a number of other
organisms, including Human, Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Drosophila,
Arabidopsis, Rice, Tomato, and Soybean. An index featuring Potato is
planned for next year.

It is our hope that ZmGI and the other Gene Indices will be of
great value to the research community. The URL for the TIGR Gene
Indices is <http://www.tigr.org/tdb/tdb.html#gi>. Please feel free
to share this information with any research news groups whose members
may be interested in using this resource.

Thank you for your time. Sincerely,

Jonathan Upton
