Looking at the web-site I realize how much I really don't know about
corn. So I'll pose a very non-technical corn questions in this form

Under the attic floorboards of my family's home (circa 1730), I've
found several different piles of corn cobs probably brought into the
house by animals. Some of the cobs show 8-rows of kernals, others 10
and 12.

I know the first Native American corn encountered was 8-row flint
corn. When did the 10 & 12 row corn enter the picture?
