Yes, Mr. Commens, Mr. Hannah is partly correct. He said these mutants
were found in nature, but he should had added found in maize
populations by geneticists and plant breeders, a group that is fast
disappearing since funding agencies refuse to fund this group if they
do not participate in molecular operations. In the future there will
not be field geneticists who will uncover such mutants. Mr. Hannah is
