Hi maize folks,
I know similar subjects have been discussed previously, but I am
looking for advice on making PCR-able DNA from seeds which were
planted but did not germinate. The lethality is perhaps due to a
mutation segregating in the family. We have saved these ungerminated
seeds - after ~3 weeks in the vermiculite - and wish to genotype them
by PCR. However, I'm not sure whether there will still be DNA around
in these samples for reproducible PCR. Anyone try this before, and
have suggestions?
