This is a reminder for those of you registering and booking flights for
the Plant and Animal Genome Meetings in San Diego that the Maize
Workshop will be on Saturday Jan 13th from 3:45 til 6 pm. This is a day
earlier than usual. The workshop will focus on a topic that was
highlighted as a key area for advancement of maize research at last
year's Maize Genetics Meetings, "Transformation in Maize". There will
be 5 presentations from various perspectives ranging from insight into
genes that affect DNA integration to practical considerations in
providing transformation services. Following the presentations we will
have a panel discussion.
