MaizeDB now cites substantially every relevant publication from 1917
to date. Citations include authors, title, year, pages, and journal.
Recent entries of more than 1,400 citations were taken selectively
from an extensive compilation by J. Cunningham, 1941. Maize
bibliography for the years 1917 to 1936, inclusive. Contrib Iowa Corn
Res Inst 2:1-364. This was a key formative period for maize genetics.
Selected classic papers before 1917 (e.g., East and Hayes 1911;
Correns 1900,1901) have been entered previously, as have all
publications documented in the Newsletter from 1936 forward. Thanks
to Comrie Harris, Tapuwa Mutangadura, and Shirley Kowalewski for
