coleoptile color

Hello,

Is there any gene(s) for coleoptile color? I found some white kernels 
with partially purple (or red) colored coleoptile at the tip. I went 
through the MaizeDB to find out a similar case without success.

Would any of you help me to understand what I observed. Thanks in advance.
