Postdoctoral Position--Minichromosome Behavior in Maize
A postdoctoral position is available to study the behavior and
molecular structure of a collection of minichromosomes derived from
the B chromosome of maize. The goal is to understand the minimal
chromosomal features that support reasonable transmission through the
life cycle and meiosis with the eventual aim to develop maize
artificial chromosomes. Further details available upon request.
Experience with genetics/molecular biology and good communication
skills are desirable. Interested individuals should send curriculum
vitae and the names and addresses (including email) of three
references to: James Birchler, Division of Biological Sciences,
Tucker Hall, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65211-7400; Email:
BirchlerJ at Missouri.edu. The University of Missouri is an Affirmative
Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
