POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Position available immediately to take part in a USDA-NRI funded
project to perform molecular and genetic analysis of biosynthesis and
regulation of sorghum phytoalexins induced in response to the fungus
Colletotrichum. The objectives of this project are 1) to identify
sorghum genes that are critical to the biosynthesis of the
phytoalexins and to test the function of these genes in heterologous
as well as homologous systems and 2) to characterize transposon
induced mutants of sorghum that have altered synthesis/regulation of
3-deoxy-flavonoids and phytoalexins. The position is for 2 years:
Applicants should have a record of accomplishment in molecular
genetics, and biochemistry. Send via E-mail: curriculum vitae
