SENIOR BIOLOGICAL SCIENTIST - University of Florida

A senior biological scientist position is available in Mark Settles'
laboratory in the Horticultural Sciences Department.  The successful
applicant will independently design and conduct plant molecular genetic
experiments focused on maize seed biology.  The incumbent must effectively
analyze and communicate data from experiments.  Responsible for laboratory
management to include lab safety and greenhouse management.

Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area (plant
science degree preferred) and three years appropriate experience.  Knowledge
of principles and techniques of molecular biology (required) and genetics
(preferred) .  Pesticide spraying license and radiation safety training will
be required within six months.  Expected starting salary is $32,704 along
with a benefit package.
