Research Associate, Vector Construction

Position Summary
BASF Plant Science LLC, aiming to develop high yield and value added crops,
has a Research Associate position immediately available at the Ames, IA
facility.
In this position, you will conduct research in transgenic plants. You will
construct vectors for transformation and perform molecular analysis. You
will support the research team with all lab activities including design and
implementation of research experiments.
Required Skills and Education:
The candidate must have B.S. with M.S. preferred in molecular biology,
biochemistry or plant biology. The candidate must have hands-on experience
in a wide range of molecular techniques, ie. vector construction, DNA and
RNA isolation and characterization, site-directed mutagenesis, and PCR
techniques. Experience working with others in small teams, as well as an
ability to work independently, is desired.
